IBPS has released the official notification for IBPS PO - VIII 2018 exam with an increased number of vacancies in comparison with last year's notice (IBPS-VII).

IBPS PO 2018: Exam Dates
Schedule of Exams for IBPS PO 2018:
The Preliminary exam on 13th, 14th, 20th, 21st October 2018, and
The Mains exam on 18th November 2018.
IBPS will take CWE-VIII for Probationary Officers as an Online exam in two parts:
1. IBPS PO Preliminary Exam
2. IBPS PO Mains Exam

Note: All participants who will successfully register himself / herself in PO VIII firstly have to fight with (Preliminary) Pre exam and Shortlist candidates in Pre examination will be called for Mains Exam and then further shortlist candidates called for a Common Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organisations and co-ordinated by the Nodal Bank. Marks scored in mains exam will be decided for short listing for interview.

IBPS PO 2018 Exam Centre
There is exam centre in every state and union territories i.e. 36 and the address of the venue will be advised in the call letters.
IBPS PO 2018 Exam Pattern
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination
1. Objective Test: The objective test of 3 hours duration consists of 4 Sections for total 200 marks. The objective test has separate timing for every section. The candidates are required to qualify in each of the Tests by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank.
2. Descriptive Test: The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with 25 marks is a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay).
Important Note – Marks obtained by the candidates in the Main examination will be considered for shortlisting for Interview and preparation of final merit list.
Note: There will be negative marking for every wrong answers in both Preliminary and Main Examination for which there is a penalty of ¼ or 0.25 of the marks assigned to the particular question.
